At just 21, Tannah has rocketed through the maritime ranks with a speed that would make a jet ski jealous. Starting as a Stewardess, stepping up as a Deckhand, and now—after earning her Coxswain’s ticket—she proudly stands as our youngest lady Captain.
She was once bound for the glamorous world of Mediterranean superyachts, but Sydney Harbour cast its spell, and Tannah happily traded the Med for the magic right here at home. Now she’s determined to make waves—literally and figuratively—across these sparkling waters.
Before commanding boats, she commanded horses. With a background in horse riding and show jumping, she knows how to grip the reins, hold her ground, and take control of any vessel or situation. Small in stature but overflowing with confidence, capability, and cool-under-pressure energy, Tannah is proof that true presence has nothing to do with size.
She absolutely loves what she does—this isn’t just a job, it’s her dream come to life. Always smiling, always working hard, and always ready to help, no task is too big and no request too tricky for Captain Tannah.

Captain Dean Cropp, founder of Barefoot Charters, is a true ocean adventurer with a lifelong connection to the sea. Born into a maritime legacy as the son of renowned explorer and documentary filmmaker Ben Cropp, Dean grew up diving shipwrecks, exploring remote reefs, and learning the rhythms of the ocean from an early age. Today, he leads Barefoot Charters with decades of experience as a commercial diver, sailor, underwater cinematographer, and storyteller — bringing a depth of knowledge that makes every charter feel both safe and unforgettable.
Beyond running Barefoot Charters, Dean is known for his passion for exploration, filmmaking, and marine conservation. His work has taken him across Australia and the Pacific, developing custom underwater camera systems and filming wildlife in some of the world’s most remote waters. Guests who step aboard one of his vessels experience his warm, easygoing leadership style, along with his natural gift for sharing the magic of the ocean. Every charter reflects Dean’s belief that the sea is not just a place to visit — but a world to connect with.
